Hutch K. Hicken focuses his practice in the areas of intellectual property litigation and civil litigation. He represents clients in state and federal court, both at the trial and appellate levels.
Prior to joining Alan B. Taylor & Associates, Hutch was an associate of Litchford & Christopher for three years beginning in 2005. During that time, he co-founded and co-chaired the Orange County Bar Association's first Intellectual Property Committee. His legal expertise is grounded with strong business experience. He currently serves as President and Chief Technology Officer of Bluetoad, Inc., a leading provider of digital publication solutions.
Hutch graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from the University of Utah, and then went on to complete his law degree at the William & Mary School of Law, where he was offered a graduate research fellowship position working with the faculty. He co-authored published research with professors from William & Mary and Princeton University. Based on his rich experience in the technology field, Hutch was invited to participate as a lecturer on topics related to privacy and public access to court records. He served as an associate articles editor for the William & Mary Law Review, and received the William & Mary School of Law's Legal Skills Scholar Award.
Hutch is admitted to practice in all of Florida's state courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and is a member of the Florida Bar. Hutch is fluent in Tagalog (Filipino). |
